The Islamic civilization
was an important link in the cultural and
scientific history between ancient European
civilizations and the modern western world. Starting
with the ninth century and up until the
end of the fifteenth, the Islamic civilization
was leading in all fields of science, technology
and medicine. The transfer of Islamic civilization
science to the West paved the way to the
Renaissance and the scientific revolution
in Europe. This presentation offers a historic
account of the Islamic civilization’s
major contributions to the heritage of the
West and mankind.
